Jailer actor G Marimuthu dies after suffering heart attack

Tamil actor and director G Marimuthu, known for his recent appearance in the Rajinikanth-starrer film "Jailer," passed away after suffering a heart attack.



His unexpected death has sent shockwaves through the Tamil film industry. G Marimuthu, who was in his late fifties, was confirmed to have succumbed to a heart attack by film trade analyst and industry insider Ramesh Bala, who shared the sad news on social media (previously known as Twitter) on Friday. In addition to his role in "Jailer," G Marimuthu was recognized for his contributions to the Tamil television series "Ethirneechal" and had previously worked as an assistant director with renowned filmmaker Mani Ratnam, among others.
